The Dialer

In this piece, I'll guide you through using a prominent feature of our platform - the dialer. We're diving into its interface and multiple functionalities.
You'll notice the dialer button in every view of the platform, located in the top right corner. Go ahead and click it.

Opening it reveals an intuitive interface with all the standard dialer functionalities:
Phone Number Field: Enter the phone number here. Options include copying and pasting, manually typing using your keyboard's numeric keys, or clicking the numbers on the screen with your mouse.
Call From Field: Choose your outgoing phone number. If your platform is set up with several numbers, they will be listed in a dropdown menu.
Ready to make a call? Hit the green phone icon.
Below the dialer are icons for Contacts and Dial views. We're currently in the Dial view.
Let's switch to Contacts. Click on Contacts.

Notice the phone number field is now replaced by a search box and a list of recent contacts.
Use the search box to locate a specific contact by name or number.
To return to the dialer view, click Dial.

Now, I'll demonstrate more features of your new dialer.
Enter a test number and press the green telephone icon.

The view shifts to show a status field and additional options. Initially, the call status is “dialing.”
image.png
Once connected, this status changes to a timer tracking call duration.
Notice the small arrow in the top right? Click it.
image.png
Clicking this arrow during a call minimizes the dialer to your top menu, allowing access to other platform features while on the call.
To expand the dialer again, click the dropdown button.

Imagine you're on a call with a client and need to transfer them to a colleague.
Click Hold to pause the call.
image.png
Then, choose between Blind Transfer and Warm Transfer.
Blind Transfer immediately redirects the call to your colleague. But be cautious, as this might terminate the call if your colleague is unavailable.
image.png
Warm Transfer is often a better choice.
Here, use the search function or manually input your colleague's number.
Once the number is added, the Call & Hold button activates.
Press it.

Once connected to your colleague, explain the situation before transferring the call with the Patch Call button. This avoids the call termination issue and prepares your colleague.
Two tabs appear at the top right of the dialer: a green one (client call on hold) and an orange one (current call with colleague).
Switch between calls by clicking the relevant tab.
image.png
After briefing your colleague, return to the client by clicking the green tab. Inform them about patching the call.
To connect both calls, click Patch Call.
The client and colleague can now talk privately. You can exit the call by pressing the red button.

After the call, click Done to revert to the standard dialer view.

This dialer is a key tool in reaching your contacts within the platform, seamlessly integrating with email, SMS, and other communication methods.
