The Manual SMS action is designed to prompt an individual to send an SMS directly to a contact, and you can locate these manual tasks under Contacts > Manual Actions. Employ the Manual SMS workflow action when you wish for a team member to follow up with a client after a specific event has been triggered.
Creating Manual Actions In Workflows
Assign To User
To incorporate manual actions for a user in your CRM, begin by assigning the user to a particular workflow or campaign. This can be accomplished using the Assign To User action within your workflow or campaign.
Assign User Workflow Step
After adding this step to your workflow, the interface will resemble the image below. From this point onward, any manual actions you include will be assigned to the user selected in this step.
Adding Manual Actions
Once you have integrated the Assign To User action into your workflow or campaign, you can insert manual action steps for that user. For a manual SMS action, click on the + icon and choose Manual SMS.
Template
Utilize previously created templates for your messages by accessing the Templates field in your workflow and selecting the desired option from those available in your CRM.
Message
If you prefer crafting a customized message, enter it in the Message field. Additionally, incorporate specific custom values, such as the contact name, by selecting the Custom Values option.
Add Attachment
To attach a file to your message, click the green Add Attachment button and pick the file from your computer.
Add Files Through URL
Alternatively, you can include files via URL by entering the URL in the dedicated field and clicking the +Add button.
Manual Actions Workflow Step
Once incorporated into your workflow, your manual actions will appear as shown below, allowing you to select Manual SMS and edit it as needed.
