Cabinet Types & Terminology

Cabinet

A sign structure compromised of a frame and face or faces.
The cabinet normally includes electrical components or support structure. However the cabinet refers only to the frame and perimeter aluminum sides.
Cabinet sides are also referred to as filler. See *here.
Retainer is also referred to as frame see *here.

A wall mounted single sided cabinet.

The typical retainer used for a fascia sign is EX-7.

Filler for Double Sided Signs

Bent sheet metal is used to form filler for double sided cabinets.
Typical construction for pylon sign cabinets.
Standard bent pan depths are 15” and 18”.
