Refinery

The Refinery is a structure that can be built on any built foundation of any size in the or a . It is one of the three core that directly feeds into the resource and crafting game loop by processing into for you. In order to build a Refinery, you need to pay some $AGEM and resources.

Functionality

The role of the Refinery in the resource and crafting game loop is intermediary. It processes raw resources excavated via the into refined resources. This process works similar to the Extractor, but instead of having a resource capacity pool, you have to fill up the pool of resources manually via excavation or online trade.
If you have the minimal amount of raw resources required to use the Refinery, you select your just like with the other and check the time, cost, and output of the refinement process. When you confirm your selection, the refinement process starts, and at the end of the timer, you get the refined resource.
Refined resources are primarily used for the . The third step in the resource and crafting game loop, and the third Production Structure. Here, you can turn the refined resources into .
Unlike the Extractor, a Refinery can be build on any available and built of any size (unless it’s reserved for ) even if there aren’t any resources available. This makes the foundations devoid of any resource an optimal place to put the Refinery.

Refined Resources

are essential items in Ascenders: Simulation. They are made by processing raw resources in the Refinery, and allow you to advance into more complex crafting and trading. They don’t have a listed rarity, since the raw resources needed to create them already have them, but since the cost of making one refined resource is several raw resources, their value is always higher than one of the raw resources that create them.
Refined resources mainly help in fabricating in the Fabricator structure, but they can also help complete when they ask for a number of refined resources.
There is no city restriction on what Refineries can do, but it is significantly harder to get the city-exclusive raw resources from the other city to refine into their refined counter-parts, making them some of the more valuable trading items on the market.
Later features that will be added to Ascenders: Simulation will add more uses for refined resources. The exact details are still unknown, but they will fill another important role for crafting and advancing the resource and crafting game loop as you play.

“To refine is a simple concept, but a delicate art. Especially when working with combustible gasses, liquids, or radioactive material.”
