Log dupe IP address form submits

Overview

Hello -
we are in the process of adding an IP address to Salesforce.
when complete, this field will automatically capture the IP address of the Lead when they submit the lead form on our website in a new field, labeled IP address

Problem we’re trying to solve

we are getting a lot of form submissions from the same few bad actors, submitting applications using different fake business information, but all from the same IP address
We’d like to flag to our team that this IP has submitted the form before, and that might mean they’re a higher likelihood for risk
In general, we’re looking for your recommendations on how to approach this in a way that doesn’t junk up our Salesforce instance too bad, and helps our internal users (Risk team) make informed decisions. We’re not at the point yet where we want to block these repeat offenders from filling out fields. we just want to transparently display this info

Possible solutions

Flag to users that this IP has filled out the form before
Field that says: Repeat IP address: True
Give a count of times each IP has filled out the application
Would go up incrementally for each submit. This might be too complicated for what we’re trying to solve?
