Infinicept >< Salesforce

Overview

We use software from Infinicept to review applications for creditworthiness and ultimately onboard a merchant to our systems. Infinicept is the system by which our team determines if an application is approved, denied, or other.
The Infinicept tooling leaves a lot to be desired in terms of user workflows, reporting, etc.
We want to begin moving more workflows to Salesforce.
Which brings us to exploring the extent to which it’s possible to integrate Salesforce and Infinicept.

FYI

Infinicept has an
One initial concern would be having a bullet-proof reliable way to match the Salesforce record to an applicant. There’s a lot of weirdness with emails not matching, our 1st-party Persistent Marketing Identifier not being reliable, etc.

2 parts

Part 1: Initial data push from Infinicept to Salesforce

Part 1 fields to sync

Application metrics
These are form fields that a user enters into the application when they submit it. We want the fields to be added to the corresponding user Salesforce Account.
Documented here:
Calculated metrics
n of application submissions (in rare instances in which there is more than 1)
We currently increment this via Pardot Form handler that fires off the Zap

Part 2: Two-way sync of certain fields

Actions Risk takes in Infinicept can automatically be updated in Salesforce (bidirectionally)
Underwriting Status (what app status is called in INF, which includes decision where applicable)
eg: New Pend, Follow Up, Withdrawn; Approved & Boarded
Boarding Status
Application decline reason
MATCH HIT; etc
Updates to application data (i.e., any change to data in an application field)
E.g., TIN, CP %, etc.
Results of underwriting checks
E.g., IRS TIN Match, Business Address Validation, etc.
Note that this data is messy in Infinicept but, if we find we can pass this to Salesforce, Risk can dive deeper into the data and see which specific fields we need
Any Notes or Requests & Responses entered by Risk
Note that I do not think this is available via API but figured I’d add as a nice to have if possible

Question

Should we move to updating all values with this direct connection?
We currently use a Zapier webhook to put data into Salesforce from our application. It would be nice to have a more direct integration.
