Solar batteries:

Store excess solar energy generated during the day for later use
Help reduce dependence on the electrical grid
Enable homeowners to use solar energy even when the sun isn't shining
Can save money on electricity bills in the long run

As explained earlier in the course, when the solar panels are producing power (Production), you can either use it (Consumption), sell it to the grid (Export) or store it in a battery 🔋.
The battery allows you to use the power your solar system generated at night time when the panels are not generating power OR during the day if the amount of electricity being used in a home/business is higher than the amount of power the solar panels are producing at that time.
