Dyknow is the app that allows teachers to monitor the screens of their students’ Chromebooks. Classes and rosters are imported from PowerSchool.
It is the expectation that:
Students will only use their CMS-issued Chromebook. All forms of personal technology are strictly forbidden in the classroom. Not having a Chromebook is not an excuse to use personal technology. If a student forgot their Chromebook, they may share with a classmate or complete assignments on paper. Students who are repeatedly unprepared for class should receive a contact home.
If any students are using their Chromebooks, teachers must be actively monitoring the class on DyKnow.

Open DyKnow from your CMS Launchpad. If you don’t see Dyknow in Launchpad, go to
dyknow.me

If you’re not automatically signed in, click Sign in with Google
From your class dashboard, select the class you wish to monitor and click “Start Monitoring”

Click the student thumbnail to view the student screen
Click “Block Activity” to block a site for the entire class
Optionally, create blocking plans that allow you to reuse your block settings each class
