THE OAKS AND UNCLE BELFORT

A fractious religious party held together only by half-remembered traditions. This big tent houses brow-beating religious moralists, radical religious redistributionists, good governance advocates, and proto-socialists. Individual Oak Councilors will often defect to support the Karaleans if their individual neighborhood might benefit on a given ruling.
The Oaks used to be the beating heart of the council, but are now a festering remnant - 8 seats, and overseen (kind of) by Uncle Belfort, an old, rotund, and very corrupt Archaka.
