‘’Rome has a superb selection of bakeries that will meet your every need. Here is my guide of the top bakeries across my Eternal City.”

Il Maritozzaro

image.png
📜 Some history: If you haven't, I highly suggest to try a local specialty called Maritozzo, which is a simple sweet loaf bread filled with whipped cream or just cream. It's a real gluttony, I love it, and nowadays there are different variations, with cream, chocolate or nuts and also alternative fillings like with tomato, and pesto!
The Maritozzaro is specialized in Maritozzi, here you can find this delicious pastry bread and enjoy it while strolling around. I also suggest to grab a cup of coffee at the café nearby.

Antico Forno Roscioli

📜 Some history: The Roscioli family dominates the restaurant scene in the area just east of Campo de’ Fiori. Their name is attached to a delicatessen, a coffee bar and to their bakery, Il Forno, in Via dei Chiavari. Il Forno serves delectable freshly baked bread and delicious cookies.
