Project: Whiteboard Challenge

30 minutes to complete
At any point in the interview process, you may be asked to step up to a whiteboard to solve a problem. Use the skills you’ve learned in your design process to help solve the challenge effectively and efficiently.
While this project doesn't follow a traditional whiteboard challenge approach where it's conducted live, it will help you in how you can think through a problem and the questions you should be asking. Complete the following challenge using pencil and paper. Be sure to use the knowledge gained from the lesson on whiteboard challenges, and think through your process as you map out the solution to the problem.
Remember the following to help you get started:
Ask lots of questions
Define the problem and goal
Question the user and their needs
Are there any constraints?
Ideate any concepts and assumptions
Think about the user flow

Project Brief

As design director of a national bank, the company wants to launch an application that will allow users to access their account information through a chatbot. Here is a list of user requirements:
Customers want to check balances, deposits, and recent transactions.
The bank wants to present and promote offers personalized to each customer, such as credit cards or new account types.
The chatbot could be activated using the customer’s voice or through text. You define what’s best for the user.
Once you complete your thoughts on the brief above and complete the assignment, upload an image of your whiteboard challenge complete with questions you'd like to ask your Career Coach.

Deliverable 1:

Whiteboard Challenge Exercise

Review the project brief and tackle it using pencil and paper. Take no more than 30 minutes to complete the challenge. Once you have completed your challenge, take a picture of the process you mapped out on paper, and submit it for feedback from your Career Coach.
