Overview

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that our company is prepared and able to respond effectively to any disruptive event that may impact our operations.

Scope

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and third-party vendors who have access to our company's information systems and facilities.

Policy

Business Continuity Planning

A Business Continuity Plan (BCP) will be developed and maintained by the company's management team and reviewed annually.
The BCP will include the following:
Identification of critical business processes and resources
A risk assessment to identify potential disruption scenarios
Strategies and procedures for responding to different types of disruptions
Communication protocols for notifying employees, customers, and vendors
Backup and recovery procedures for restoring critical systems and data
Testing and training procedures to ensure the effectiveness of the plan
The BCP will be regularly tested and updated to ensure its effectiveness and relevance.

Disaster Recovery

A Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) will be developed and maintained by the company's IT department and reviewed annually.
The DRP will include the following:
Identification of critical IT systems and applications
A risk assessment to identify potential disruption scenarios
Procedures for recovering critical systems and data in the event of a disruption
Communication protocols for notifying employees, customers, and vendors
Testing and training procedures to ensure the effectiveness of the plan
The DRP will be regularly tested and updated to ensure its effectiveness and relevance.

Employee Responsibilities

Employees will be trained on the company's BCP and DRP.
Employees will be responsible for following the procedures outlined in the BCP and DRP in the event of a disruption.
Employees will report any disruptive event or potential disruption to their department manager or the designated emergency contact.

Enforcement

Any employee found to have violated this policy may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or contract.
