Spiritual Development

On Campus Church

We have a church on campus called the Church Community for GOD. Most students and faculty attend there, as well as others throughout Nashville.
Spiritual Emphasis Days
Every Wednesday students participate in our Spiritual Emphasis Days. These days begin with chapel in the morning time which includes worship and time of teaching from the word.
Then, students get to have brunch all together as a student body. This is a great time for students to touch base with one another and have a time of fellowship
In the afternoons, students are sent in groups all throughout Nashville to do service projects that serve our local community. These times are intentional for students to serve a variety of needs in our city.
Mentors
Each student is paired with a mentor that stays with them through the duration of their undergraduate degree. These mentors are alumni of The Institute, and serve their students in a variety of ways - spiritually through prayer, encouragement, and guidance, and practically through budget/finance help, time management, and more.
All mentors are Institute graduates, and as such, are intimately aware of the issues Institute students face. They offer biblically-based guidance to students, from forming a budget to balancing their work, study, and social life to help them work through challenging decisions.
Accountability Groups
All students are included in an accountability group. These tight-knit groups offer a venue for honesty, support and prayer. Students spur one another towards love and good works (Heb. 10:25), and help carry each other’s burdens (Gal. 6:2).
SIP
The Student Integration Program is specifically tailored for students in their first two years at the Institute to acclimate to college life and all that it entails.
