Initial Call Script

Make this script your own and make it natural. But, you should hit all of the bolded items at some point during your phone call.
If on the Christian Connector list, you can cater your call to their major interest.
If no one answers, always leave a voicemail followed by a text.

Hi _________!
This is [your name] from The Institute for GOD, a Bible college in Nashville. I’m a (student, staff professor, alumni) at the school, and I also work in admissions.
We heard about you ...
Because you noted you wanted more information from Christian colleges (Christian Connector)
Met you through SLAM this summer
Because you’re a senior this year
Heard about you from [name]
We’re just calling to check in on how you’re doing in your college search and learn a little more about what God is doing in your life.
(See how they respond to this).
Respond nicely, affirmatively, ask them if you could share a little bit about our college, and your experience as it relates to their story.

You can do this naturally, or ask them if you can tell them some things about the school.

Tell them a few distinctives about our school (choose from below, you don’t have to use all of them.)
We’re Nashville’s Premier Missions and all of our on campus students spend 20-40 weeks in the third world as a part of their education
Students will go through 60 books of the Bible during undergrad, and every class incorporates the Bible
100% of our students receive scholarships and 100% also graduate debt free
Every on campus student is guaranteed a job, should they want or need to work
We have a 100% job placement rate before graduation
Graduates do things as diverse as midwifery, business, film, education, agriculture and missions work.
We would love to share more about our programs with you, if you’re open to it!
A zoom call with one of our professors
A campus tour or preview day
If local:
We’d love to host you on campus!
I can send you a link if you’d like to come out for a tour.

Our full range of scholarships are available at equal access to everyone who applies before December 1st.
IF they ask what the application includes, you can review it:
Basic information (name, parents, address, phone number, etc.)
The name of your spiritual mentor or pastor/youth pastor
An essay so we can learn more about you
A video so we can get to know you better!
Your high school transcripts and ACT/SAT submission
All in all, it takes people about an hour to fill out, most of that being what’s in the essay.
ASK THEM HOW YOU CAN PRAY FOR THEM, AND PRAY FOR THEM ON THE PHONE BEFORE HANGING UP.
