Total annual cost includes tuition, fees, housing, and meals for an academic year. Mission experience pricing is separate. Students receive curricular assistance on fundraising for mission. 100% of our incoming freshmen receive scholarship aid.

Online students pay for tuition, fees, and books. If students are not full time, classes are billed at $575/unit before scholarships are applied.

Scholarships

Excellence Awards

President's Award - up to $5,250

Awarded annually to students who achieve and maintain a cumulative 3.8 or above GPA, measured on at least 12 credits on the academic year.

Dean's Award - up to $3,045

Awarded annually to students who achieve and maintain a cumulative 3.5 or above GPA, measured on at least 12 units on the year.

Servant Leadership - up to $3,000

Students involved in regular service to their church, communities, or schools, as well as those leading in sports, clubs, youth goups, or mission experiences should apply for this award honoring mission fit students. This award is only available to full-time traditional students.

Partner Scholarships

Church Matching - up to $2,000

The Institute for GOD Church Matching Scholarship assists students and families in financing their biblical education. The Institute will match a church scholarship up to $2,000 per year, earning you a possible $4,000 towards your education. This match is available for students from any denomination (restrictions apply).

Academy for G.O.D. Alumni- $1,500

Graduates of the Academy for G.O.D. who were enrolled for at least 4 consecutive years receive $1500 towards their freshman tuition.
This scholarship is available to students applying by our Early Decision Deadline, December 10th.

OneLife Alumni Scholarship- $1,000

OneLife alumni receive an extra $1,000 in scholarship funds and qualify for a streamlined application process. A minimum 2.5 GPA and a positive reference from OneLife staff are required.

SLAM Alumni - $500

Students who have participated in at least three SLAM service weeks qualify for an additional $1250 in scholarship funds applied to their freshman year.

Assistance Scholarships

Phoenix Scholarship - up to $5,000

Our school mascot is the Phoenix, a mythical bird that represents resurrection power. Our related Phoenix scholarship honors those who have endured tragedy, but have faith that God is able to do a new thing. We pray that as you share your story, it will inspire many others to rise up as well.
With that in mind, write a 1000-word essay regarding your life trial and how God has grown you through it. (Cannot be the same essay completed for the application. If it’s the same topic, it needs a different approach.)
Total funds vary according to the number of applicants per year. The maximum award amount for this scholarship is up to $5,000/year. Only full time, on-campus students may apply.

College Closure Scholarship - up to $5,000

We are saddened by the reality that more and more Christian and Bible Colleges are closing their doors. We understand how difficult this must be for students and provide an exceptional assistance scholarship. If a college closing has impacted you, we urge you to consider The Institute as your new home. We are ready to extend an assistance scholarship for your hardship.

ProDev Scholarship

ProDev Scholarship - $9,610 - $11,990

Our ProDev scholarship is available to full time on-campus students participating in our ProDev Program. ProDev incorporates students into Christian workplaces where they can gain skills needed for future careers. Read more about our Professional Development program

Students can apply for this scholarship program after acceptance into The Institute for GOD.

Do we charge more for out of state?
No, we charge the same amount regardless of where you come from
Do we accept Tennessee Hope or Tennessee Promise
Unfortunately, no. These programs do not provide funding to us.
Do we take FAFSA
Not at this time. We do have a similar internal system for evaluating financial need and awarding scholarships related to the need.
