Tobi likes to hide in various places in the house, and can sometimes be hard to find, despite having only ~500sqft to do so in.
If you’re looking for him, in no particular order, make sure to check:
Behind Keerthik’s desktop PC
Behind Niv’s desktop PC
Inside any cardboard box anywhere
On any window sill
On any heating radiator
On the bed/blanket up top
On the futon down below
In one of the bedroom closet cubbies
In his litter box (don’t intrude, just listen!)
In the bathroom shower (if there’s a lot of loud noises or a storm)
