Auto

Don’t include percentages when addressing savings, use more generic language since the % will vary
Avoid listing “Anti-theft system discounts”, “restraint device discount” and “low mileage savings” discount instead highlight drive easy discount, paid in full discount, Multi-policy discount, multi-vehicle discount, and more.
Drive Easy doesn’t have its own App. It’s through GEICO mobile app. Avoid saying “download the GEICO Drive Easy Mobile App” instead say “participate in DriveEasy program on the GEICO Mobile App” or something along that line.
If you’re listing DriveEasy make sure the DriveEasy disclaimer is also on the page. This can be found on our DrivEasy page.
Avoid listing “federal employee discount” that’s no longer an active discount
Avoid highlighting “membership discounts” since they have been going away. There are still some but not as many people will qualify as they did years ago.
The availability of “Defensive Driving and Accident Prevention Courses” varies by state and age. Many states only offer this to older drivers. Defensive driving discounts are typically only available to those over 50 depending on the state.
Driving history discount is usually more than 1 year. Keep it vague and don’t list the year
No mention of “shopping around”
Avoid the word “cheap”
In multi-policy discount - Avoid implying that customer will save on both policy through multi-policy discount. Not all home/renters partner carriers offer a multi-policy discount on their side.
Use GEICO’s coverage name “Roadside Service” instead of generic alternatives (like Roadside Assistance)
Avoid saying “24/7 customer service”. Our customer service is not open 24/7 only claims service is. So if you must use 24/7 use it for 24/7 claim service.
Don’t use the term “full coverage” as it is not an insurance term
Jeep car insurance: Off roading is high risk and may have specific coverage limitations. Replace it with something generic like “having fun”
Not true to GEICO: Policyholders may also benefit from enhanced coverage options or deductible reductions when multiple policies are combined.
Credit score use varies by state
Avoid using "comprehensive coverage" unless you're specifically referring to the coverage type since that's a specific coverage type
Please avoid using the term “customized” because that is Liberty Mutual’s focus and we want to be a bit different. Use “personalize” instead.
UM has two separate coverages (UMBI and UMPD).
Don’t use wear and tear and Mechanical failures as interchangeable. Wear and tear is not covered by insurance but mechanical failures is covered by “
“Permissive use” is a complicated topic with a lot of “it depends” opt for excluded drivers
Most rental companies will offer a liability insurance that is separate than CDW, but it can be pricy.
“Non owner car insurance” typically does not include collision coverage, comprehensive coverage, ERS, Rental reimbursement, and mechanical breakdown insurance. These are first part coverages.
GEICO does not offer “Loan/Lease payoff coverage” don’t include it
Under life events - don't claim marriage and age for rate increase/decrease factors. It's not necessarily true
Use ‘personalized’ instead of ‘customized’ because that is Liberty Mutual’s focus and we want to be a bit different

M&S

GEICO doesn’t directly sell home and renters insurance. So, we need to keep it general.
For renters and home insurance always use “through GEICO Insurance Agency” rather than “GEICO”
None of our partners (for home and renters) offer a discount for Military. mostly just security features monitored alarm, smoke detector, fire ext.
GEICO Insurance Agency has probably been serving home for more like 30-40ish years not 85 years. Keep it general like “for many years”

Coverage = Coverage options
Use “could” instead of “would” (especially in mentioning how the policy could pay/help)
