Tip: Start with a reasonable bill rate and grow the rate fast.

If possible, your n+1 customer should be paying more than your nth customer.
The market will lead you to a market rate.
Higher market rates are usually viable only for strategic work. If you can justify a high bill rate then you’ll likely end up delivering strategic or high-leverage work.
Lower market rates result in highly competitive situations.
