What’s this about?

We’re optimistic our time together will be seamless but always want to be prepared in the event something unexpected arises. Here you will find Coda’s plan in the event of an unforeseen event such as natural disaster, or health or safety emergency.
If you are curious about our emergency plan, read on. If you’d rather not think about it unless you have to, that’s fine, too.
Just know that should things go sideways, we are prepared!

General Guidance

Steps taken will vary depending on the specific emergency situation.
Remain calm and assess the situation.
Notify your emergency

and or call an emergency number 911.
Take action to protect yourself and others. This may involve evacuating the area, taking shelter, or providing first aid.
Check #coda-all for immediate steps to take.
Follow instructions from emergency personnel. Look to your
Emergency Response team

and follow their instructions to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

Follow the instruction of the hotel staff and proceed to the nearest emergency exit/stairwell. Look at #coda-all for detailed instructions to find our assembly area.

Hyatt Hotel Shelter in Place Procedures

Notification:

There will be a public address announcement that states the building emergency (e,g. Imminent Tornado or Active Shooter) and will tell you what to do. Please listen carefully.

What to Do:

If you are in your room, remain there. Shelter inside the bathroom.
If you are in a public area, follow the Instructions of hotel staff and proceed to the nearest emergency refuge area.

Where to Go:

Once in a refuge area, secure it.
Await further instructions from hotel staff or responding law enforcement/emergency services.
Inform someone if you require any medical attention.

How You Can Help:

Assist injured persons to receive medical attention.
Help others to stay sheltered until assistance arrives.
Stay calm and await further guidance.
