Wedding & Bridesmaid: Overall, it was a strong month for keywords related to wedding and bridesmaid dresses, with these keywords positioned very highly in the SERPs. From July 1 to August 1, the number of keywords ranking in the top 10 rose by 26.7%, which translated into higher organic traffic.
Year over Year: When we compare the performance of the two main keywords over the last three months to the same period last year, we can clearly see the extent of the growth we're referring to, with clicks having more than doubled.
A very similar pattern can be seen with bridesmaid dress/dresses
While our link-building efforts were key in boosting these keywords and pages in both ranking and traffic, it's important to note that some level of decline is expected (we believe we are overperforming at this time) due to a weak internal linking structure and a lack of supporting content - topical strength.
Blog Support:This opens up an opportunity for a conversation about long-term goals. There is significantly more potential available through these and surrounding keywords, which we believe we could pursue. On the other hand, there’s the question of whether diluting topical authority makes sense - and whether it could potentially reduce our chances of competing in the prom and homecoming spaces. Ultimately, this is a conversation - and a decision - that needs to align with broader, long-term business objectives.
Supporting Blog Content: Beyond blog content, there is a potential opportunity in keywords related to seasons, guests, mother of the bride, and similar topics. Over this month, our team will evaluate additional page opportunities for this.
Mermaid Wedding Dresses: The new page we created, Mermaid Wedding Dresses, is still gaining its footing in search results, and there haven’t been any meaningful movements to report yet.
