Cheverny just happens to be the perfect wine to fill the flavor/value gap. Located on parcels at the eastern end of Loire's Touraine region, Cheverny is an exciting AC created in 1991, where Sauvignon is routinely blended with other local varietals like Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Arbois and Romorantin. Known for top quality organic Cheverny, Francois Cazin is a master of natural, unfiltered wines made from local grapes. His 2013 Cheverny Blanc is a blend of hand-harvested Sauvignon Blanc (70%) and Chardonnay (30%).
Flavor Profile: Medium-bodied, dry. Currants, peaches, apples, and white flowers on the nose and palate. A rich, soft finish with plenty of fruit and balanced acidity. Pair with mussels and French fries, white fish, goat cheese, and salads.
