Meticulously-made 100% late harvest mountain Nebbiolo (Chiavennasca). Med ruby, with a garnet hue. Clean, intense, fragrant nose of wild strawberries, ripe red cherry, black plum, red flowers, forest floor, balsamic spice and sweet oak spice from 24 mos. in tonneaux. Dry (only 1 g/L of RS) but more fruit-forward and more approachable than would be expected in a high altitude Nebbiolo. Very balanced structure, with med (+) acid, tannins and alcohol (14.0%). Very smooth, elegant, with impressive intensity and length.
