Mark 1 Approach
2. Work with the 3 to push the 1 around the mark. One of you coming in on the starboard lay line. the other approaching the mark at least a boat length over the port lay line to duck the 1 if necessary.
3. Work with the 2 to push the 1 around the mark. One of you coming in on the starboard lay line. the other approaching the mark at least a boat length over the port lay line to duck the 1 if necessary.
4. Sail fast, if possible come into mark 1 on the starboard lay line. Be aware of the 5 and not to foul when rounding.
1. Keep the 1, loose cover the 2, stay within 3 to 5 boat lengths. Approach the mark on starboard if possible.
5. Sail fast, think about the quickest way to get around mark 1. Usually this is approaching the mark at least a boat length over the port lay line to duck a starboard boat setting a mark trap when you get close
2. Immediately attempt to cover the 1, making sure you are sitting on their air. (First of a pair goes high)
3. Either gibes or drops straight to a wing, whichever will make you point closer to the mark/bring you towards more wind. (Second of a pair goes low.)
4. Go down the course side right, always keeping your air clear and having starboard advantage if needed, IF YOU GET IN TROUBLE COMMUNICATE TO YOUR TEAMMATES TO COME BACK AND HELP ( Do not play back. Focus forward and sail fast)
*Play 1 opportunities may present themself, communicate with your team about play 1 conversions.*

6. Work with the 6 to double team the 4.
Mark 3 Approach
2. Work with the 3 to push the 1 around the mark. Your role is to push the inside of the mark.
3. Work with the 2 to push the 1 around the mark. Your role is to push the outside of the mark. Aim at the edge of the 2 boat length circle on the course side left of mark 3 to push them around the mark
4. Keep your starboard advantage as you approach the mark. Establishing overlap on the 5,6.
1. When slowing you can either hook the opponent to do a pass back or just push them around the edge of the two boat length zone to compress. When you run out of runway and begin to jibe back make sure the opponents bow does not go past half your hull. This is so that the following boat cannot head you up and do a pass back on the following leg. Do NOT get zeroed in on attacking one boat.
5. Sail fast. Pushing the inside of the zone
6. Sail fast. Pushing the outside of the zone
Leeward Offset
2. Recognize early if the 1 is going to set a trap, work to push them around the mark by sailing fast point to the outside of the zone.
3. If possible allow the 2 to get out in front of you with a healthy gap.
1. Sail high around mark 3, stay close enough to the 2,3 where ragging your jib will affect them, allowing the 45,6 to gain speed.Set up in the bottom left of the two boat length zone along the lay line to the mark in order to use as much distance as possible.
5. Sail fast work with the 6 to try and break up the 2,3,4
6. Sail fast work with the 5 to try and break up the 2,3,4

2. Sailing fast point to the outside of the zone. Preparing to set up the 3 boat weave.
3. Be prepared to help the 2 push the 1 around the mark or help the 4 if the are in a vulnerable position to the 5,6.
1. The 2 have 2 options. If they choose to go inside hook the opponent head to wind and slowly creep forward and do not allow them to round. Recognize when you have to release to not loose the 1. If you see that they are going to go around the outside of you start to accelerate before an overlap is made and rag your jib. Make sure their bow does not go past half of your hull.

2. You are running point on the weave, be prepared to help on either side of the course if needed. If a boat is lost go to that boat and execute a speed pass back.
3. Cover the opposing teams boat that is also going left. Balance as necessary.
4. Cover the opposing teams boat that is also going right. Balance as necessary.
** If a boat is lost and the 2 comes back execute a speed pass back and they become the new 2. The opposite pair slows during the pass back**
1. It’s okay if you lose the 1. With a 1/3 of the beat left slow the 2 as hard as you can. Hopping the 5,6 can pass one of the opponents.
5. Communicate with the 6 to slow down and unbalance the 3,4 by tacking duel or splitting them. Trying to find a seam in the weave.
6. Communicate with the 5 to slow down and unbalance the 3,4 by tacking duel or splitting them. Trying to find a seam in the weave.
