1. Keep the 1, loose cover the 2, stay within 3 to 5 boat lengths, looking for opportunities to convert to play 1.
4. Sail fast, sail to the opposite side of the course as the 6.
5. Sail fast, 5 covers 6 when winning.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________
2. Work with the 3 to double team the 4, the goal is to put the 4 and 5 on the same ladder rung, if they are on the same ladder rung each take an opposing boat and slow them.
3. Work with the 2 to double team the 4, the goal is to put the 4 and 5 on the same ladder rung, if they are on the same ladder rung each take an opposing boat and slow them.
6. Sail fast while being covered, follow the 4 wherever they go.
Mark 1 Approach
1. Keep the 1, loose cover the 2, stay within 3 to 5 boat lengths, looking for opportunities to convert to play 1.
4. Sail fast, think about the quickest way to get around mark 1. Usually this is approaching the mark at least a boat length over the port layline to duck a starboard boat setting a mark trap when you get close.
6. Sail fast, follow the 4 wherever they go.
Mark 1
1. Get around the mark and stay connected, looking for opportunities to convert to play 1.
4. Push the 2 and 3 around the mark as quickly as possible, usually easier coming in from port, if on starboard put you bow down below them and sail fast.
5. As compression happens at the mark mark sure you can keep the 6 behind you, its ok to slow down.
6. Sail fast, pushing the 4,5 into the 2,3.
Windward Offset
1. Stay connected as the 2,3 start to slow down, looking for opportunities to convert to play 1.
4. Aim for the top of the 3 boat length zone at mark 2, you know the 2, 3 are going to mark trap you, put yourself into a position that you can go fast and push them around.
5. 5 covers 6, at marks and offset legs it is ok to slow down and gap the 6 to let the 4 push the 2,3 forward.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________
2. Sail high after mark 1, put yourself in a position to cast a wind shadow on the boats rounding 1.
3. Sail low after mark 1, put yourself in a position to hook a boat to leeward after they round mark 1.
6. Sail fast, trying to push the 4,5 into the 2,3.
Mark 2
1. No need to trap here, stay in front but connected withe the 2,3 looking for opportunities to convert to play 1.
4. Sail high above the mark to keep speed and open a gap between the 2,3 and the mark.
5. Above all, make sure the 6 stays behind you, even if that means slowing down. This is where the opposing team will over commit to attacking the 5 and allow the 4 to become the 3, that is ok as long as the 1 is ready to convert.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________
2. Position yourself in the top left quadrant of mark 2, ready to hook a boat that becomes over lapped with you, remember to speed up before they get to you or you will be rolled.
3. Position yourself directly astern of the 2, creating a wall that forces the 4 to sail high into the 2s hook. be ready to attack the 5 after that happens.
6. Sail fast, pushing the 4,5 into the 2,3.
Downwind
Exiting 2
1. Stay close to the 2,3 look for the chances to attack one of their pairs and convert to play 1 or 2.
4. Sail fast, pushing the 2,3 down the course.
5. Sail fast, keeping the 6 behind you.
6. Sail fast, follow the 4 wherever they go.
Open Field
1. Stay close to the 2,3 look for the chances to attack one of their pairs and convert to play 1 or 2.
4. Sail fast, pushing the 2,3 down the course.
5. Sail fast, keeping the 6 behind you.

6. Sail fast, follow the 4 wherever they go.
Mark 3 Approach
1. Stay close to the 2,3 look for the chances to attack one of their pairs and convert to play 1 or 2.
4. Sail fast, pushing the 2,3 down the course, aim wide going into 3 to make it easier to push the 2,3 around the mark.
5. Sail fast, keeping the 6 behind you.
6. Sail fast, follow the 4 wherever they go.
Mark 3
1. The 2,3 will try to double team at the mark, set up on the edge of the 2 boat length zone to disrupt their attack, if possible look for opportunities to hook the 2 and/or 3 and go play 1 or 2.
4. Sail wide and fast around the mark, breaking overlap every chance you get.
5. Attack the 6, make sure they stay behind you while the 4 pushes the 2,3 around the mark.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________
2. Set up at the top of the zone, as the 4 approaches attempt to hook them inside the zone, making it take as long as possible for them to round.
3. Set up astern of the 2, work with them to prevent the 4 from rounding, as the 5 gets closer split off and attack them.
6. Sail fast, following the 4.
Leeward Offset
1. Sail high around mark 3, stay close enough to the 2,3 where ragging your jib will affect them, allowing the 4 to gain speed and potentially find opportunities to pass them.
4. Aim at the bottom of the 2 boat length zone at mark 4 and sail as fast as possible.
5. Make sure to keep the 6 behind you going into mark 4.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________
2. After rounding mark 3, aim high and let the 3 become the new 2. As the 4 becomes overlapped put them in your wind shadow and immediately start attacking.
3. Stay ahead of the 4 with no overlap, let the 2 become the 3 and cast their wind shadow on the 4, your job is to keep your stern directly in front of the 4s bow as an obstruction.
6. Sail fast, pushing the 4,5 into the 2,3.
Mark 4
1. Set up in the bottom left quadrant of the zone, forcing the 2,3 to go above or below, once overlapped, attack.
4. Sail low and fast around the mark trap, look for opportunities for room if the opponents overlap with one another.
5. Focus on keeping the 6 behind you.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________
2. If the 1 is mark trapping, enter the zone high with distance, as the 3 approaches, overlapped to windward with the 4 bear down behind the 1 to position yourself in front of the 4. If the 1 has rounded, round and tack immediately. Goal will be to tack back and set up The Wall.
3. Enter the zone overlapped with the 4 to windward but still bow ahead, slowing them while the 2 gets into position.
6. Sail fast, pushing the 4,5 into the 2,3.
2nd Beat
Exiting 4
1. Should have stayed close to the 2, immediately cover and pin the 2 to prevent them from doing the wall.
4. Continue to sail fast low attempting to get bow ahead or clear air.
5. 5 covers 6 when winning, if the 6 tacks away from the 2,3 immediately pin them and continue to force them away from the play. As the 2,3 attack the 4 look for opportunities to sail fast and convert to play 1.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________
2. After tacking at mark 2, tack back quickly so you can set up the wall with the 3 as they round mark 4 with the 4.
3. Continue to stay on the 4, goal is to get them on the same ladder rung as the 5 and split to attack each.
6. Sail fast, always follow the 4.
Open Field
1. If the wall is set up keep some distance and loose cover the 2, trying to disrupt their wall. Be ready to convert the play when they break up the wall to attack the 5. PLAY 4 DECISION TREE.
4. Continue to sail fast attempting to get clear air and push the 2,3 to the finish.
5. 5 covers 6 when winning, if the 6 tacks away from the 2,3 immediately pin them and continue to force them away from the play. As the 2,3 attack the 4 look for opportunities to sail fast and convert to play 1.

Finish Approach
