Downwind
Exiting 2
1. First of a pair goes low. Aim straight at mark 3 and sail fast.
2. Sail on a reach, get your wind shadow off the 1 as soon as possible. Sail fast to mark 3, keep starboard advantage to the boats behind.
6. Sail fast, attack and sit on the 5, try to drag them back from the leaders and look for opportunities to pass. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________
3. Attack the 2, try to get your wind shadow onto them or just keep pressuring them to go high and sail extra distance.
4. Trust the 3 to slow the 2 and sail fast to the mark. Looking for opportunities to cross in front of the 2.
5. Sail fast straight to the mark while the 3 and 4 are attacking the 2.
Open Field
1. Sail fast to mark 3. Stay in touch with the 2 in case the opponents high low makes progress. If there is any doubt begin to come back and balance the 3,4.
2. Stay ahead of the 3 while making progress to mark 3. If you start to fall back on the 4, communicate to the 1 that you need help.
6. Sail fast, attack and sit on the 5, try to drag them back from the leaders and look for opportunities to pass. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________
3. Continue to attack and slow the 2. There will be opportunities to get an overlap with the 2, this will most likely mean your wind shadow will not cover the 2 anymore. Keep yourself behind the 2 and keep your wind shadow on them, trust the 4 to sail fast and pass the 2.
4. Sail fast in an attempt to pass the 2. Trust the 3 to slow the 2 down.
5. Sail fast straight to the mark while the 3 and 4 are attacking the 2.
Mark 3 Approach
1. Keep sailing fast to mark 3. make sure you are balanced with the 2. With the 2 coming down course right they will be able to get room on the opposing boat as long as they are on the same ladder rung.
2. Keep making progress to mark 3, communicate with the 1 to make sure you are balanced.
6. Sail fast, attack and sit on the 5, try and drag them back from the leaders and look for opportunities to pass. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________

4. Aim to sail around the edge of the 2 boat length zone, thinking ahead, you will want to keep distance from the 2 to get around the zone quickly.
5. Sail fast straight to the mark while the 3 and 4 are attacking the 2.
Mark 3
1. Be aware of if you need to set up to balance the 3,4 or round the mark quickly.
2. Get to the zone and round quickly.
6. Get around the mark quickly, minimize the distance to the 5. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________

2nd Beat
Exiting 4
1. Round well, bow down slightly to give the 2 room, when the 3 begins to round, tack and cover left.
2. Round well, sail fast and cover the right side of the course.
6. Tack as soon as you round the mark, there is no need to sit in the opponents zone around the mark, this gives you a chance to be bow out and out of the 5s wind shadow. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________
3. Prioritize the rounding, if the 1 has not tacked yet, tack immediately to attempt to get bow out leading to the left. If the 1 has already tacked by the time you round, wait until you sail out of the zone of the 1 with a healthy lane to tack. If the 1 begins to tack back before that happens match the tack and stay on the opposite tack of the 1.
4. Prioritize rounding, be patient with the 3 as they wait for the opportunity to tack.
5. Find the best route to get up the course as fast as possible, get to an edge early (starboard is preferable).
Open Field

6. Sail fast, look for opportunities to pick up an Ace. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________
3. By now you should be working with the 4 to bring the 1 and 2 back together in an effort to unbalance.
4. By now you should be working with the 3 to bring the 1 and 2 back together in an effort to unbalance.
5. Sail fast, looking for opportunities to pass leaders from the opportunities the 3,4 have created.
Finish
1. As long as you are coming in on port and the 2 is ahead of their pair, and the 3 cannot cross and have runway to slow the 2, finish.
2. Coming in on starboard, make sure your pair cannot get to the 1 and then sail fast and finish.
6. If your teammates have gotten the 1,2, cross without fouling. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________
