Job Summary

are looking for highly motivated and capable backend developers for a summer internship program, who would work alongside us in building a feature-rich, open-source AI platform targeted at Indian problems and diversity.
Some of the highlights of the program are:
Top-notch Mentorship- Opportunity to work with faculty from IIT Madras and top researchers from Microsoft on building top-notch tools for Indian languages.
Build in the Open and get Paid- Your commits will be truly yours! Additionally, you will get an attractive stipend of Rs. 15k per month.
Work from anywhere- This internship is completely remote!

AI4Bharat is a top research group at IIT Madras working on AI technologies for Indian languages spanning NLP, speech, OCR, and sign language recognition. Over the coming semester and summer we have open positions for interns who have deep expertise in Django and Javascript. The selected candidates would join a dynamic team to build AI tools for Indian languages. The position is fully online and starts on 1st May.
Eligibility
1. You must be a current student at a college or have graduated in 2021
Basic Qualifications
Django, Django Rest Framework

Developed Rest APIs, Swagger
PostgreSQL
Git, Github
Linux command line

Preferred Qualifications
Data structures and Algorithms

or recent graduates who have good hands-on experience in building interactive user interfaces.
As a frontend developer, you would work on adding new functionalities, designing and prototyping new UI components, primarily using ReactJS and integrating it with the existing code-base!
