The FIND phase of the SAVVI Process, applies a Risk Model to existing data to build a prioritised Cohort of people or households.

This is about using existing personal information, that was collected for a prime purpose, for a new purpose, so this phase emphasises the activities to ensure that data reuse is lawful, ethical and transparent.

The Lead Organisation may not be the controller for some of the required data, so this phase sets out a set of ‘data asks’ that can be put to Source Organisations. Even where the Lead Organisation does have ready access to the data, it should still be rigorous in demonstrating that data is being used appropriately.
