How are Packs like this made?

Packs are built using the Pack Builder SDK, which you can

learn more about here⁠

. The Copper Pack is open-source, and you can

check out the code here⁠

to see how it works (and, if you’d like, contribute improvements). Some advanced Pack Builder SDK features it uses:

Custom auth

Sync tables that merge data from multiple endpoints

Dynamic sync table schemas (to allow for custom fields)

Autocomplete from API + previous parameters

Did you manually type in fake data for hundreds of records for this demo doc?

Nope! I used the excellent

Mockaroo⁠

. They’ve got a generous free tier, and handle pretty smart stuff like letting you connect schemas together (like the way a Person is a member of a Company).

Is this Pack safe? Can you see my confidential CRM data?

Coda’s Pack system is highly secure; 3rd party Pack authors like me have no way to access users’ API credentials, nor the data that passes through the Pack. I just build the pipes. Any Copper data you sync into Coda will live in Coda, and you can read more about security on the Coda platform
