Self-Awareness

I understand my strengths and weaknesses and seek guidance on future growth opportunities. On August 4, 2021, I reached out to Paolo to ask how he made it to SCC to understand it if it's something I'll be interested in, and he offered to discuss it via Zoom. It was beneficial for both of us as he liked teaching people, and I like learning from people. I realized there are some things that I am already doing and can do that I would probably enjoy doing if I aim to be an SCC.

I actively manage my growth and use available resources to improve. One example was when I proactively asked for feedback on some tickets and reaching out to people for ticket handling shadow sessions and programming mentorship. To actively manage and take charge of my own growth I started creating a structure on how my 1:1 coaching sessions would look like and during one of our meetings.

Mentorship

I helped improve the expertise of my immediate team by sharing best practices and leading by example. On April 5, 2021, I was assigned as Brittney's Zap Pal and scheduled regular check-ins addressing imposter syndrome and being comfortable taking some time off when she needs to and even when she doesn't. In March 2022, I've had 1:1 sessions with JC and Jeanny on building bots and ticket handling efficiency. After I shared my 1:1 best practices with the APAC team on May 19, 2022, Abdullah reached out to ask for more best practices and tips for his growth - we discussed it in detail via a Zoom call and also shared Abdullah’s growth keenness with Rachel so they can align.
