Takeoff Location Logistics

The goal of a takeoff location should take into account maximizing your line of sight and signal strength while being accessible.
Thus setting up near the middle of your planned flight route at a high location (if terrain varies) is ideal.

Other Notes:
Accessibility is a factor. Are keys available for fire road gates, is the home owner open to you utilizing a trail or backyard to reach a viable takeoff/observation location.
VO’s can also be strategically positioned to provide another set of eyes to the pilot themselves.
You can show your computer location in cloud software but generally found it better to navigate by phone after the location was determined.

Example:
For example lets take this purple segment.

In Flight Hub 2 we can enable the 2.5D map by clicking on 3D in the bottom right.
From there we can rotate the map to see the elevation around our flight line based on the keyboard shortcut guide that can be toggled on and off.

Make sure you have the road network turned on to see accessibility of a location.
Building Models can also be turned on for additional reference but will require additional network bandwidth to load.
One can then see that in front of these trees puts us in the middle of the route at a higher elevation and is accessible by road.
Note: Generally did find if map tiles had been loaded and network signal went in and out the map was still usable on the computer. You can see the progress percentage of the map loading in the bottom left.

Here are some additional examples of ideal locations:

If you are curious how far away a location will be from the flight line simply use the draw tool to draw a line, and then you can avoid placing it on the map afterwards by tapping the line tool again before you complete the line.
Remember to use the line tool tap it once and a blue triangle will appear in the top right, this means you are in drawing mode for that tool, after you are done drawing lines you have to tap it again to exit drawing mode and the blue triangle in the top right of the icon will disappear.
