Objective

Scope

This SOP applies to video editors working on VSLs who are responsible for the creative aspects of video editing, including narrative construction, visual effects, and final output.

Responsibilities

Video Editors: To perform creative editing tasks based on guidelines specified in the Video Analysis and Planning Form.
Project Manager: To oversee the creative editing process and ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
Content Sourcing Officer: To provide all necessary raw materials and elements as requested.

Detailed Procedure

Step 1: Preparation
1.1 Retrieve the Video Analysis and Planning Form: Access the form completed during the planning and technical editing phases to review the creative guidelines and objectives outlined for the VSL.
1.2 Organize Assets: Gather all raw materials, including footage, audio files, and graphic elements, as specified in the planning form.
Step 2: Narrative Construction
2.1 Develop the Storyline: Construct the narrative based on the storyboard or outline provided in the Video Analysis and Planning Form, ensuring it effectively communicates the key messages and meets the marketing goals.
2.2 Assemble the Timeline: Place clips in a sequence that best tells the story, adjusting for pacing and flow to maintain viewer engagement.
