The more people you contact, the more members you’ll get.
There’s just one problem…
Outreach has almost zero leverage. In order to send 10x as many messages, you generally have to spend 10x as much time.
So, once you’ve got your first handful of people in the community, it’s time to crank up your growth tactics to something more scalable.
The solution? Create actionable, useful pieces of content that can be shared inside and outside your community.
Think about the problems your avatar is facing (including the questions you were asked during cold outreach), and create pieces of content to solve them.
If you’re a good writer, write Skool posts — then, you can turn those Skool posts into newsletter articles, Twitter threads, Instagram carousels, etc.
If you’re good on camera, make videos for your community, and re-post them on YouTube — then, you can cut them up into short-form videos for platforms like Instagram or TikTok.
The goal is to (a) provide value to your existing members, (b) drive traffic from other platforms to your community, and (c) encourage your members to share the content with others who could benefit.
It’s like casting a net out into the sea of social media, and reeling in engaged leads.
(Just make sure to include some way for your outside viewers to find your community, like a link in the description of your videos, or something similar. Otherwise, you’ll never be able to make a proper CTA.)
This acquisition channel ties in nicely with the final step of our community growth flywheel…
Most people skip this final step, and it inevitably comes back to bite them later.
