We've learned that 76% of our partner agents have missed out on a referral fee because a lead was referred to the community by another entity first (APFM/Caring). We're using the Seniorly network to change that.
When a family requests info on a property we are contracted with, we will send a referral to the community. We know that families benefit from knowing about other options, which is why a local agent like you makes for a better experience. But, this change helps ensure that if the family moves into that first community, you as the agent will receive the referral fee.
Move-in fees for families you support will be split as normal (you will receive 55%).
Q. If I have a higher agreement with the community, would you use my agreement or Seniorly's?
A. When Seniorly sends a referral directly to the community Seniorly's rate will apply.
Q. Should I contact the community that Seniorly referred?
A. You are welcome and encouraged to contact the community to let them know you are a Seniorly partner supporting the family in their search. If there is any confusion about a double referral, reassure them that the community will only pay Seniorly if the family moves in. Our team is always available to connect with the community if needed.
Q. Should I follow up with community referrals or does Seniorly do that?
A. Feel free to follow up with the community if you wish. However, please know that Seniorly also maintains a process and strong relationships with these communities to assist in gathering updates for families.
Q. Does Seniorly have contracts with all communities?
A. The Seniorly website features all communities, but we do not have referral agreements with every community listed.
Q. Is there a list of Seniorly contracted communities that is accessible to Partner Agents?
A. Our network of contracted communities is continuously growing, so there is no list currently available. If you have a question regarding whether a specific community is contracted with Seniorly, please don't hesitate to ask us!
Q. Does the referral to the community include both the agent's name and the name of the company?
A. The referral to the community does not include the name of the referring agent. However, you are always welcome to share your relationship and partnership with the community.
Q. When does Seniorly send a referral to a community?
A. A lead is sent to a community when they specifically request to get in touch with and want more information on that property, and Seniorly has an active agreement.
Q. What information does the community receive in their referral?
A. We share the same information with the community that we share with you- anything the lead provides while signing up. Who they’re looking for, time to move, interests, etc.
Q. What happens if the community connects with the lead but I (as the agent) don’t?
A. Please feel empowered to connect with the community and mention your relationship with Seniorly. We are all on the same team.
Q. What happens if the lead isn’t qualified for the community that Seniorly referred to?
A. We encourage you to work with the lead as normal and refer them to a better fit.
