Day 13: Forming Project Teams and Identifying Project Requirements
Hour 1-2: Forming Project Teams
At the outset, we'll be forming teams that will work on a special assignment: Building a Web Portal for Erasmus+ KA1 Schools and Training Agencies. Teams will ideally consist of 3 to 5 members, based on the total number of participants. Team formation will take into consideration the skill levels, interests, and the need for a diverse set of perspectives among participants.
Hour 3-4: Defining Project Objectives
Now that teams are formed, the task is to identify the objectives of the project, keeping in mind the specifics of the assignment. The goal is to build a web portal that serves as a hub for accredited schools and training agencies involved in the Erasmus+ KA1 programme. The objectives should align with the skills learned during the course.
Hour 5-6: Identifying Project Requirements
This hour is dedicated to defining the scope of your projects by identifying the specific requirements. These requirements will cover the features the application needs, the data it will handle, and any user experience considerations, based on the assignment details.
Hour 7-8: Planning the Project
By the end of the first day, each team should have a clear plan for their project. This includes a plan to design the database with Airtable, design the web portal with Webflow, integrate the two, and test the system.
Days 14-15: Building the Web Application
Over the next two days, teams will build their web applications. This includes:
Hour 1-8: Building the Web Application
Using the skills acquired, teams will start creating their web applications. This will involve setting up the backend in Airtable, designing the frontend in Softr, and possibly setting up third-party integrations.
Hour 5-6: Daily Progress Presentation
At the end of each day, teams will present their progress. This provides an opportunity to share achievements, discuss challenges encountered, and outline plans for the next day.
Hour 7-8: Feedback and Adjustments
After the presentations, a feedback session will be conducted. Instructors and other teams can provide constructive criticism and advice. Teams can use this feedback to refine their projects.
Day 16: Final Presentations and Wrap-Up
Hour 1-4: Finalising the Web Application
Teams will use the final day to complete their projects, fix any last-minute bugs, refine the user interface, and prepare for the final presentation.
Hour 5-6: Final Project Presentations
Each team will present their completed web application. They should explain what the application does, how it meets the project objectives, and discuss challenges they overcame during the development process.
Hour 7-8: Course Wrap-Up
The course will wrap up with a final discussion and reflection session. We will look back at what everyone has learned, discuss how these skills can be applied in the future, and celebrate the completion of the course. This will also be the time to discuss the real-world implications of the work done on the Erasmus+ KA1 project.
