Day 13 Hour 5-6: Identifying Project Requirements

Now that you've established your project objectives, it's time to dig deeper into the specific requirements of your web portal. Here's what you need to consider:
Functional Requirements: These are the core features and functionalities your web portal needs. According to your project assignment, your portal should include:
Profile Creation for Schools and Training Agencies: Think about what information should be included in these profiles and how the data will be input and displayed.
Project Idea Space: Design a space for users to input their project ideas. Consider how this information will be structured and displayed.
Matching System: Plan out how the matching system will work. How will schools be able to search for and contact potential partners?
Data Requirements: Consider the data your application will handle. This includes data related to the schools and training agencies, their project ideas, and matching information. You will be using Airtable to manage this data, so think about how you will structure your Airtable base to facilitate efficient data management.
User Experience Requirements: Last, but certainly not least, consider the user experience. Your web portal should be easy to use and navigate. It should also have a clean, professional appearance.
How will users navigate your portal?
How will the data entry process work for profile creation and project idea submission?
How will the matching and contact processes work from a user's perspective?
Remember, your project requirements should be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound (SMART). Don't try to build everything at once. Prioritise your requirements based on the needs of your users and the objectives of your project.
And finally, don't forget to collaborate and communicate within your team. Every team member should understand the project requirements and be on board with them. This is a team project, so make sure everyone's voice is heard and their ideas are considered. Good luck!
