3. Task assistance

Task assistance includes more than just accomplishing one small task at a time, but creating an automated solution that allows your team to fully offload a series of items, on an ongoing basis.
Ability to build a holistic AI solution that connects to other tools and can perform tasks at scale.
Bringing content in from other tools, and using AI to gain insights.
Generating updates and messages you can send to other tools, keeping one source of truth.
As mentioned earlier in this doc, once your team finishes one task, there’s usually another on deck. For example, if you’re a sales rep who spoke with a customer, you might next need to log call notes, or send follow up emails. Often, teams use specialized tools for parts of a workflow, for example, logging call notes in Salesforce, and sending action items through Slack. Coda’s
ecosystem allows you to sync in data from, or send updates to, hundreds of tools. Therefore, Coda AI can reference data brought in from other tools, and then create new content you can share inside and outside of Coda.

1. Getting insights from data in other tools

Many teams use specialized tools for parts of a workflow, and Coda’s
ecosystem allows you to sync in data, making it possible to apply any of the or examples using it as context.
For example, you can sync in data from Google Calendar and Salesforce, and set up an AI block to give specific insights, like what to prioritize.

2. Sending AI-generated content to other tools

Coda AI can use any information in your doc as context, including data brought in from other tools. When you want to share AI-generated content outside of Coda, add a button to send with one click, or an automation to do it regularly. For example, you can use Coda AI to summarize weekly Jira issues, and automatically send these updates to your team in Slack.
It’s been really exciting to see how our customers are using Coda AI as a connected AI work assistant to create automated workflows. While this is different for every team, here’s a closer look, using sales and product teams as examples.

An AI solution for sales teams

With Coda AI automating many customer call follow-up items, sales reps can spend that time actually speaking with more customers, or focusing on account strategy.
Based on call notes, Coda AI can:
Create summaries, that get logged to Salesforce.
List action items, to send to Slack.
Generate follow-up emails, to send via Gmail.
Create follow up agendas for Google Calendar.

An AI solution for product and engineering teams

Within Coda, you can create Jira issues, tag them, and push updates back to Jira tasks—without paying for extra licenses or bugging a developer.
