Meet Jono

A little about me, for anyone who's interested :)

Hey there 😉
I’m Jono from Durban, a little city on the east coast of South Africa. I first heard of Coda a little over a year ago, and that turned out to be a defining moment in my life, and the start of a really fun adventure.

Jono’s Published Docs

I’ve been really terrible about publishing the docs I’ve worked on, but I’m trying to get better at that this year. Head over to my for an up-to-date list.

Keen to Work Together?

I’m a passionate Coda user and Doc Maker with a knack for solving complex and tricky problems with solutions that are light, stable and incredibly easy to use. I firmly believe that if your internal tools require endless documentation and extensive training, then they’re a failure. Human-centric user experience (UX) design is therefore as important as the solution itself in ensuring a tool’s ultimate success.
I’m particularly passionate about building docs that breathe life into teams bogged down by tiresome, difficult, or repetitive workflows. Using the power and flexibility of Coda, it’s now possible to build complex solutions in days or weeks that a little while ago would have taken months to launch. Drop me into your team and you’ll quickly notice the difference it makes having someone onboard who is dedicated to making their jobs easier and more efficient. We call it Ops Dev - applying an engineering mind to optimize operations within your business.
Part of the magic of Ops Dev (at least in the way we do it at Supersynchronous) is that our process works best when we are co-building with your team. The results are more finely tuned to their unique needs, adoption of the new tools is high because they feel ownership over the end result, and they are empowered to self-maintain these solutions moving forward because they’ve been educated along the way.
My background is web design and development, and over my career have enjoyed wearing many hats. From a freelancer and consultant for F500 companies, to a team lead running small to medium sized development teams at agencies, I still love the feeling of bringing a project to fruition. On budget, and without compromise. I’ve seen how the landscape has changed in recent years with the rise of no code tools. Having been in the trenches, it’s utterly incredible to me how fast it’s possible to launch software using platforms like Coda. It’s truly the way the world is moving, and as a proud member of Supersynchronous now, I’ve jumped in with both feet.
So let’s meet up! If you’ve got a doc you need a second set of eyes on, a project you’d like to get off the ground, or a grumpy team who could benefit from someone dedicated to making their lives easier, then I’m your guy.
