Innovating Organizational Structures & Processes for a Regenerative Economy

By Jeff Clearwater & the Stewards of VillageLab - May, 2020
. . . a universally applicable architecture and process for co-creating collaboration ecosystems
within one, or across multiple commons . . .
Facilitating our next evolutionary step in unleashing human creativity, embodying collective intelligence and organizing human effort for a post-capitalist society.
Humanity’s creativity and intelligence are evolving! But we are held back by old institutional structures and social, political and economic conceptions that prevent us from fully spreading our wings.
How do we use our evolving understanding of organizations as living systems (teal organizations) while drawing on the wisdom of community based cultures - combined with the wisdom coming forth in new paradigm economics - to lay the foundation for a true collaboration economy?
How do we effectively organize collaborative ecosystems of business and/or social initiatives that empower local communities to scale into effective mass-sized social movements?
We can think of current-sees as “any symbol system, game, token, or even “moving art piece” that makes visible, shapes or enables a flow of wealth - and by wealth we mean all types and dimensions of wealth - both monetary and non-monetary
Participatory Commons: Organizations initiated as a purpose-based commons and embodied in collaborative social agreements that enable scalable collaboration ecosystems of coordinated action. (Jeff Clearwater - VillageLab)
Sovereign Accountable Commons: (SAC) Organizations incorporated in distributed application code instead of legal codes enabling new patterns of self-governance and mutual sovereignty. (Arthur Brock - The MetaCurrency Project)
Decentralized Human (Holonic) Organization - (DHO): A decentralized human organization that is embodied in a set of contracts that enables decentralized protocols such as governance or payroll. Unlike the process-centric designs of DAOs (Distributed Autonomous Organization) that assume a “trustless” environment, the DHO is built on human-centric trustful design principles that encourage social coherence and convergence in value ecosystems” (Joachim Stroh - Digital Life Collective - HyphaDHO)
