Adding your contact details here is completely voluntary. It could help a neighbour find you when you have a delivery, flat tyre, or other important information.
Note that the apartments are registered with CoCT as sections, which don’t correspond to the flat unit number (e.g. section 15 is unit 10). Some mail or municipal rates statements from CoCT might then be addressed to Section 15 and not to Unit 10 and end up in the wrong mailbox. Best to go paperless.

🧹 Caretaker
Farrington is the building’s caretaker (+27763877148 / +27646965775) and employed by the Body Corporate. He comes in most days except for Sat, Sun and Mon. He is responsible for sweeping the common areas, taking out the garbage bins, and so on. Gavin and Balti (unit 6) are the points of contact. The Managing agents pay his salary (from owners’ levies).
👩💼 Managing agents
Our Managing Agents, , are responsible for financial and other administrative matters, such as collecting levies and electricity payments, and to make sure that we are compliant (facilitating annual meetings, making sure we are insured, financially audited). Owners will need to contact them if they want to make alterations to the interior of their units, have issues with debit orders or payments, building insurance and so on, and they, in turn will send it to the trustees for review. If you don’t get a timely email response, consider calling the office (021 426 1026) and speak with Juneta (PA) or Lisa (PM). For email, it’s best to send it to the PA, but to still cc the PM.

🤝 Trustees
The Trustees are responsible for decisions around the basic day-to-day management of the building (employing a cleaner; getting contractors for recycling; maintenance of things like the electric gates, painting, and waterproofing) and decisions about improvements and upgrades to the block (security upgrades; cosmetic or structural upgrades like adding or improving the common areas).
For the period starting Oct 2025, the following people have been voted as trustees of the block: Charlie (chairperson), Tamlyn, Werner, John, Balti.
For matters where the trustees need to be involved in a decision (say, geyser insurance) always cc the following email address (all trustees will receive a copy of your email, ensuring everyone is kept in the loop and a copy of conversations are stored). 📲 WhatsApp communication
All owners & tenants are encouraged to join the Bagamoya Owners and Tenants WhatsApp group. We use it to notify the block of building and neighbourhood-related matters and is most relevant to people living at Bagamoya.
There is a separate Bagamoya Owners WhatsApp group which is only relevant to owners and used to discuss matters that non-owner tenants wouldn’t be able to decide or vote on (such as upgrades, AGM announcements, and so on).
