Building & rules

The name Bagamoya means “Shelter of the Lion” (
) (or, perhaps “Lay down your heart” from bwaga-moyo in Swahili).
Bagamoya has three entrances:
the main front electric gate is to the right of the building on Brunswick Road;
the second gate, to the back parking, is to the left of the building;
a third, private door on Burnside Road is for exclusive use to those living in the ground floor garden apartment, unit 1.
(Note that the garages on Burnside road all have pedestrian doors to give access to the left or right parking areas.)
The post boxes are on the wall outside the back gate, the garbage room is next to the main gate, the electricity meter room is on the ground floor.

There are five parking bays behind the back gate, four by the main entrance. These are let out annually, and will be included in your levies payment to the managing agent. Please notify, or ask for permission, before using someone else’s parking bay.
All garages are privately owned and used. Please don’t park in front of any of them (and make sure your guests and contractors don’t, either).
There is a garden at the back (Burnside) and a wooden deck at the front (Brunswick) of the building. These are Bagamoya’s common property —meaning they technically belong to everyone the block— but they are currently let out under annual exclusive-use agreements to the owners of unit 1 and 3, subject to change and availability.
Please make sure that you, your tenants, staff, and guests comply with the Bagamoya Conduct Rules, below.
