Journey to this Isle can feel a bit like lurking through a darkness that is scared to step into the light.
Welcome to the protective home for the aspects of ourselves that were subconsciously hid out of shame, hushed by judgement, or buried by fear. Carl Jung believed that without the voyage through this Isle, one can never truly be made whole. Your shadow is the very aspects about yourself that you have classified as weak, dark, or unacceptable. The shame, judgement, and fear experienced and the way they have impacted you, have created the shape of your shadow. It’s only through our intentional effort to discover our shadow that we will learn to embrace these elements and let it shower us in the many gifts it has to offer.
