Designing your invitation is when wedding planning gets tangible. Step up your creativity or take a traditional path. While there are a lot of etiquette rules, you’re in charge, so decide which guidelines to follow or disregard! Like everything else in your wedding package, your invitations are entirely customizable. You will choose the style, wording, and ink color to suit your color scheme and taste!

If you chose a package that includes invitations and accessories six months before your wedding date, you’ll receive an invitation code for Invitations By Wedgewood Weddings. The code works like a gift card; you will have a specific dollar amount to spend on the site. This dollar amount is based on your guest count and package. Go ahead and customize your invitations; you’ll enter the code before check-out.

CHOOSING AND CUSTOMIZING WORDING

There are a number of standard wedding verses available on the website. You can use them as written, edit, or create your own.

Wedding invitation wording should always include:

Names of people getting married

Names of people hosting the celebration, if different from the couple (sometimes parents)

Date and time of the wedding (i.e., Tuesday, the sixteenth of June, two thousand and twenty-four)

Name of the venue and address (i.e., Tapestry House by Wedgewood Weddings 3212 N Overland Trail, LaPorte, CO 80535)

You may choose to include:

Parent's name (if parents are not hosting)

A particular verse or quote

A phrase ‘Reception to follow’ if your ceremony and reception are at the same venue, or ‘Adult-only reception to follow’ if you are not inviting children to the party

USING YOUR INVITATION CODE

When you’re ready to place your order, double-check your cart to ensure it only has the items you want to purchase with the correct quantities. Enter your invitation code in the ‘promo code’ box and proceed to checkout.

REQUESTING AN UPDATED CODE

If your total is under the amount on your invitation code, you may request a new invitation code with the balance. The easiest way is through the site once you’ve completed checkout. You will need your original invitation code and order number to do this. It also helps to have your original invitation code total, the amount spent, and the remaining balance.
