Service Description

Founded in 1951, The Kennedy Collective’s mission to create pathways for people to flourish and thrive perseveres as our support services and business enterprises serving over 2,100 individuals and their families offer environments where everyone is valued, and people can reach their fullest potential. We courageously lead, advocate and innovate. We actively engage in diversified partnerships. We find opportunities through tenacious perseverance. We champion people by celebrating their individuality because Every person deserves to be recognized, and every person deserves to feel equal to others.

Our Support Services include our day programs, activities and group homes and our Business Enterprises, which employ people with disabilities who in turn bring tangible value to local organizations, operate in unison as proceeds from the Business Enterprises are reinvested into expanding the scope of our Support Services.

We empower and employ – because, as a collective, our abilities have no bounds.

Budget Summary

The FY23-24 operating budget for The Kennedy Collective is approximately $32,841,893. The Kennedy Collective is requesting $15,000 to empower and employ, helping to support the diverse and evolving needs of 97 people with disabilities residing in the Town of Fairfield. These vital services embolden people with disabilities and barriers to employment to successfully engage and thrive in our community by assisting them with day-to-day activities including home care, medical appointments, therapeutic services, and recreational activities, while expanding the number and variety of rewarding employment experiences and opportunities offered through vocational training, volunteering and internships with local businesses, fellow service agencies and many community partners.
