I know what I’m looking for
We recognise that some service finder users already know what they are looking for and therefore the service finder landing page offers two quick methods of search (pictured above). They want to use the service finder to check the details have not changed and be able to send a link of the information to their client.
This is a very simple method, very much like you would find on a common search engine such as google. The results will return any services where the service name matches the key word. This will return other services that also use these words in the description, but the known service will appear at the top of the results.
Issues (Pathways)
If you need a conversation with your client first then we recommend using pathways which will help you to choose the most appropriate tags and hence discover the most relevant services available within a particular postcode area, for the type of help that they require (e.g. social activities, physical activities, information and advice, home visit, online or at a venue, whether they want to attend a group or a 1-to-1 type service, free services or those that might cost up to £2 or £5 for example).
Pathways are an easy to use click/tick box design so that you can use it on a phone or tablet whilst in the presence of your client, which allows an interactive process and increases the likelihood that people will attend the service as they are actively part of the search process.
