Issues (Pathways)

Issues (Pathways) offer a set of pre-defined search criteria for specific client circumstances. Different pathways can be set up for different teams, to allow for the different types of people that different teams tend to support. It provides a quick way to select a number of key tags that tend to apply to the relevant types of clients. It is the equivalent of searching based upon the output of a conversation where the client may have disclosed a specific need, or there may be concerns in a particular area.

For example, selecting the “Debt Advice” will pre-select some possible search tags for the service types of “Benefits Advice or Assessment”, “Financial Advice, Support And Free Goods”, and “Housing Advice And Homelessness Support Services”. It is not advisable to search for this particular selection of tags, as this will be searching for a service that is targeted at helping someone to who requires all three; and there are likely to be limited services that will be found. However, it is far easier to deselect the tags, than to search and find the key ones.
The tags are merely suggestions and you can remove whatever is not appropriate for your client by pressing the X next to the tag name.

Some Pathways will also add specific circumstances, for example Vulnerable Adult or Bereaved.
