Discharged

The spark in her eyes when she saw that her blood test was fine
I had to look away just not to cry and even if I had cried
I would cry those tears for million years

She looked at me and said, “do you want some mushroom soup?”
Though I hated mushrooms or mushrooms hated me I said, “sure feed me!”
My heart spoke in silence, anything for you in a blink of an eye.

Suddenly, A phone rang, she picked it up and said, “baby, it’s for you”
God I missed the sound of that word, “baby” melody to my ears
Oh the depths I’ve fallen for and the peaks I would climb for her

I picked up the phone, “Hey, yes we are discharged, see you at the gate”
