General info: 55 rooms in total, half of them with carpet and the other half with wooden floorRooms description: spacious and with light coloured modern furniture. Normally DBL rooms have a king size bed, while TWIN rooms have 2 queen size beds or 2 single beds. SGL rooms have queen size bed.Amenities: all the rooms have private bathroom with shower (no bathtub), little terrace overlooking the lake, tv with sky channels (including international channels such as CNN, BBC World), wifi connection, air-conditioning adjustable from the room, mini bar, safe in the wardrobe, hair-dryer Quirks: room key is the vintage one (no card-key) and there is a special key to insert in the plug to switch on the room electricity. Normally only one key is given to travellers, a second one can be requested at the Reception, but it would no include the electricity key, only the room key. It is recommended that the room key is been left at the Reception when travellers get out from the Hotel.Be aware of: there is a paper with the tv instructions in the rooms (there is only one remote control for the tv and for the sky channels) air-conditioning can be quite noisy during the night

Ayoub is a Iranian political refugee in Italy, who after been tortured and accused of being an activist tried to seek asylum in Belgium without success. His story depicts the issue of immigrant and asylum seeker from a political and regulation point of view and how integration is developed in the welcoming center.

Story / Description:
It is a 4* Hotel located on a privileged position on the shore of Como Lake overlooking the mountains, the lake and the little town of Lecco. The Hotel was built in the ’70s and it hosted guests until 2003. In 2007 it has been refurbished and re-opened again to his guests.
The name of the Hotel comes from one of the characters of the Manzoni’s novel “The Betrothed”, Griso was the boss of the evil gang called “I bravi” which was in the service of the cruel Don Rodrigo (main enemy of Renzo and Lucia).
The Hotel is made of 6 floors structured in this way:
2nd floor: rooms
3rd floor: rooms
4th floor: Reception and main entrance from street level + lift to reach the waterfront promenade on lake level
5th floor: rooms (with the best view) + common terrace with jacuzzi, showers and sun loungers
6th floor: Restaurant and Bar

Location:
Malgrate – little village with 4.250 inhabitants in the Province of Lecco. It is geographically divided from Lecco by the Como Lake and it is one of the gates of Brianza. Lecco city centre can be reached with a pleasant walk along the lake shore and crossing the “Ponte Nuovo” bridge (20 minutes walk).
Malgrate was an holiday destination already in the 18th century and it used to attract intellectuals and artists. For this reason it used to be known as “The Lario’s Venice”.
The town has a lovely waterfront promenade which includes modern sculptures, artwork and areas of water, and has pretty views across the water to Lecco, and north towards the more mountainous part of Lake Como.
