In 2020, I became a certified sugarist while still doing bridal hair and makeup. What started as a new skill quickly turned into something so much more — a passion, a calling, and a way to connect with people in a deeper, more meaningful way.
By 2022, that little dream had outgrown my space, and The Sugar Shack was born. Watching it grow into what it is today has been so special, and I’m beyond grateful to be part of the Richland County self-care community.

Here’s why: when sugaring is done correctly, hair is removed in the natural direction of growth instead of against it. That means less breakage, less pulling on the skin, and way less of that harsh “rip” feeling people usually associate with hair removal.

Once that window passes, a little extra care goes a long way. Gently exfoliating 2–3x a week helps prevent ingrowns and keeps your skin feeling its smoothest — just remember, exfoliating can also dry your skin out, so it’s important to follow up with a good moisturizer. ✨
