Checking out

I hope that you had an amazing time in Cape Town (in general) and in my apartment (in specific)!
I really want to make sure you received great value for money. If there is anything (literally: anything) that could be improved, please take a second and send me a private message. It helps me know what can be improved and helps future guests get the most out of their stay.
If you do feel that I deserve the five stars that I aim for, please, please, please leave a review on Airbnb. It really helps me a lot as I’ve only started out on the platform.

Departure checklist

Checkout time is 11am sharp. We need you to respect that, so that we can get the apartment ready for the next visitor. We pay the cleaners to start at 11am (which means they have to wait and/or working late), so we have to pass along a late checkout fee of R400 per hour to you.
Please go over this checklist, so that you don’t forget anything:
Close all the windows and balcony door
Turn off all appliances (TV, music, kitchen)
Turn off all lights
Take all your belongings including those in the:
Cabinets, drawers, and the safe (leave the safe open and unlocked)
Bathroom: Shower, bathroom cabinet, and behind the bathroom door
Bedroom: bedside tables, under the bed
Kitchen: fridge, freezer, cabinets
Living room
Balcony
Check the wall sockets / plugs for cell phone and laptop charging cables
Throw out food
Uneaten / unopened food (that hasn’t gone bad), will be donated
Other items left behind, like clothes, will also be donated
Please take a photo of the electricity meter and send it to me
Lock the door and tell security on your way out to remove your fingerprints from the system
Send us a message in the Airbnb app so that we know you’ve checked out :-)

Have a safe journey back home, please tell others about Cape Town and South Africa, and hope to see you again ❤️
Safe travels,
Werner
