We had claims for wind damage (that ripped out a sliding door) and it seems that tenants are now covered for doors, windows, sliding doors, and so on. Confirm the details in the policy wording and insurance schedule documents, above.
There is an excess (deductible) due for insurance claims. The excess is zero on geysers. For claims by the trustees to damage to the common property, the Body Corporate will have to pay the excess. For claims to damage to individual units or their exclusive use areas, the owners will be liable for excess payment.
The trustees need to be notified of claims as the number of claims will affect future premiums, and they need to sign off on some documents, and they can log it in an internal document (like this one).
After notifying the trustees, the owner should reach out to CIB (details above) and they will arrange for repairs or replacement. CIB can also be reached in an emergency, without trustee approval, via same number above (if, say, a geyser has burst or window blown out and needs immediate attention).
CIB will require sign-off on a document from the managing agents too, which the owner should handle. The owner should notify the trustees once the damage has been fixed or the items replaced.
